Air France plane crash over the Atlantic
On June 1, 2009, an Air France Airbus A330-203 airliner, operating flight AF 447 on the route Rio de Janeiro – Paris, crashed over the Atlantic Ocean.
All 228 people on board were killed – 12 crew members and 216 passengers.

As part of the proceedings in an American court, a settlement agreement was reached.
