Flydubai airline plane crash in Rostov-on-Don
On March 19, 2016, a tragic aviation accident occurred at Rostov-on-Don Airport. During the landing approach in poor weather conditions, a Boeing 737-800 (8KN) passenger aircraft operated by FlyDubai, performing regular flight FZ-981 from Dubai to Rostov-on-Don, crashed. The crew made two attempts to land but could not overcome the difficult weather conditions. As a result of the second unsuccessful attempt, while climbing, the aircraft sharply descended and crashed onto the airport runway. All 62 people on board, including 55 passengers and 7 crew members, perished in the crash.
Following the tragedy, lawyers from DTK Partners, in collaboration with a leading American law firm, undertook the task of representing the interests of the victims’ relatives. A lawsuit was filed against FlyDubai in the Dubai court to determine the circumstances and responsibility for the crash. The litigation is ongoing, and the lawyers are actively working to protect the rights of the affected families.
