Siberia Airlines plane crash in 2006 in Irkutsk

On July 9, 2006, a passenger airbus A-310 of Siberia Airlines (S7) crashed while landing at Irkutsk airport. This plane was traveling on flight 778 from Moscow to Irkutsk. Unable to stop on the runway, it skidded off the runway and collided with a nearby garage complex. As a result of this tragedy, 124 people were killed and 79 people were injured.
