The Kommersant newspaper published an article entitled “The plaintiffs were asked to introduce themselves.” During the trial in the court of Toulouse (France), where the claim that we filed on behalf of the relatives of the victims of the ATR 72 plane crash, which occurred in the spring of 2012 near Tyumen, is being considered, an unexpected turn occurred. In that disaster, 33 people died, another 10 received injuries of varying severity.

Some of the relatives of the deceased and injured, not agreeing with the amount of compensation provided for by Russian legislation, filed a lawsuit in France against the Franco-Italian aircraft manufacturer and the Russian airline carrier. After two and a half years of proceedings, lawyers for the Russian defendant, Utair airline, suddenly demanded that the plaintiffs prove their identities. Representatives of the plaintiffs consider this an attempt to delay the process.

The plaintiffs were asked to identify themselves.
