Flydubai plane crash in Rostov-on-Don
On March 19, 2016, when approaching to the airport in Rostov-on-Don, a Boeing 737-800 (8KN) operated by FlyDubai having regular passenger flight FZ-981 on the route Dubai – Rostov-on-Don crashed.
Within two hours, under difficult weather conditions, the crew made two attempts of landing at the airport in Rostov-on-Don. After the second unsuccessful attempt, during the climb, the airliner began a sharp decline and crashed at high speed on the airport runway. All 62 people aboard were killed – 55 passengers and 7 crew members.
